Welcome to Stey BraesThank you for taking the time to view our website.
Over forty years ago, the Elliott Family Trust purchased Stey Braes, a broken down farm nestled among the undulating green hills of the beautiful KwaZulu Natal Midlands. The entire property covers more than 3 000 hectares, and at it's highest point, the farm rises to an impressive 7 300ft. Over the years, a love of the land, dedication and hard work have transformed the farm into a thriving stud ranch which has received public acclaim as a quality producer of stud Brahmans, stud Limousins and pure-bred Hereford animals. This has been achieved by using the best genetics that the golbal livestock industry has to offer.
Having established the ranch as a major player within the beef industry, the Stey Braes team began considering other avenues of development. After considerable research and planning, more than 2000 hectares of land was game fenced, creating a safe haven for the introduction of some of Africa's most beautiful fauna. Many different species now find their home on the undulating hills including Red Hartebeest; Eland; Black Wildebeest, Waterbuck; White Blesbuck; Springbok; Impala and Zebra. Indigenous herds of Mountain Reedbuck, Common Reedbuck, Rhebuck, Oribi and Duiker join them. Please enjoy perusing our website and contact us directly if you wish for further information.
