Stey Braes Limousin Breeding Program
Our Stey Braes Limousin Program is focused on breeding a practical, structurally sound animal that combines great muscling off grass, with a quick finishing ability and a docile temperament.
Our Limmie cows make excellent mothers - the cow herd is annually indexed for high milking ability. They continue to breed up to 10, 15 and even 20 years, and in the case of our bulls, up to 10 years.
Through our genetics we aspire our bulls to add length, weight, and shape to their calf crops which ultimately results in increased profitability to the commercial producer. The muscling and finishing ability that is inherent in our stud genetics enables flexibility and choice in regard to the markets that a producer may wish to target.

Our Limousin Herd Sires
EL 04 288EL 04 288 Laurettes T–Bine Kosieka has a background of long established blood lines in the breed. He displays very good length and is well muscled, with a strong top line and good width between his pin bones.
This is a bull that has already produced a first generation of promising calves. Weaner photographs of this first generation will be posted in the first half of 2013. It is our intention to use him on the female progeny of LR 1037 LA Rhone Lighthouse and this makes us very excited for the future of our Stey Braes Limousin breeding program!
